Rocky Nails driver of the #18 Renegade car began his love of racing at a young age following his uncles at the track, stepping up to crew when he was old enough then climbing into the driver’s seat in 1988. Throughout his career in dirt and asphalt, he has been supported by his wife, children and family. His boys will follow in their dad’s footsteps, and his daughter prefers to be the family cheerleader. The last two racing years have been very good for Rocky as he was able to secure a 2nd and 3rd place in points at the end of seasons.
Rocky’s love of racing drew in his older son, #7 Brandon Nails at a young age as well. He climbed into his first car at the age of 14. Brandon, now entering his 7th year as a driver, spent the first 6 years racing against his father in the Renegade division, ending last year directly behind his dad in points, and secured 3rd place in points. Brandon decided this year to run in the Street Stock division, and with the help of his family, were ready to roll when racing season started. While waiting for their home track to re-open, he traveled the local short track circuit across Northeast Ohio.
Rocky’s younger son, #10 Hayden Nails is the rookie of the family, and currently races in the Renegade division against his dad. He has his first two races under his belt. (We are excited to see how this season goes for him!)
The Nails Motorsports team would like to thank their sponsors- Redline Radio LLC, Pit Road Die Cast, Rick’s Automotive Transmission, NAPA Auto Parts, and DW Signs for their support this year.
To their friends and fans, thank you for coming out! We know it has been cold but we appreciate seeing all of you out there and here for us, cheering us on.
